East China Normal University (ECNU)
Founded in 1951, East China Normal University (ECNU) is one of the most prestigious universities in China. A group of scholars have recently convened to pursue the study of global history. Activities have included a series of seminars on space, power and writing from global perspective. This group is led by ZHU Ming, Associate Professor of History, whose research interests include urban history and the urban network throughout the Afro-Eurasia.

The International Institute of Social History (IISH) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is one of the world's largest documentation and research centres in the field of social and economic history. Since its foundation in 1935, the Institute has dedicated itself to the collection, preservation and availability of the heritage of social movements worldwide.
Lab-Mundi, Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil
Lab-Mundi (Laboratório de Estudos sobre o Brasil e o Sistema Mundial) at the Universidade de São Paulo is a new initiative founded in 2013 that brings together researchers, teachers and students to investigate the relationship of Brazil with the modern world system. It is directed by Rafael Marquese and João Paulo Pimenta, and also includes more than two dozen graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.

The University of Delhi is one of India's premier public universities and is known for its high standards in teaching and research and attracts eminent scholars to its faculty. It was established in 1922 as a unitary, teaching and residential university by an Act of the then Central Legislative Assembly. The committee of global historians includes Professor Amar Farooqui, Professor Seema Alavi, Dr. Prabhu Mohapatra, and Dr. David Vumlallian Zou.

Weatherhead Initiative on Global History, Harvard University, USA
The Weatherhead Initiative on Global History, a Research Cluster on Global Historty at Harvard University was founded in 2012. It is committed to the systematic scrutiny of developments that have unfolded across national, regional, and continental boundaries as well as to analysis of the interconnections—cultural, economic, ecological and demographic—among world societies. WIGH is chaired by Sven Beckert and Charles S. Maier.
