Gabriel Sterman is a graduate student in University of São Paulo, Brazil. His research interests include Atlantic and global history of slavery and capitalism, economic history of Brazil and financial and credit relations on the 19^th century. He also works with research and study groups dedicated to theory and philosophy of history, time in history and labor and state relations in capitalism. In his spare time he is a soccer fan, enjoys classic rock, cinema and literature (especially Brazilian and southern gothic).
