Florian Weber studied Economic History and Economics at University of Zurich and Autonomous University of Madrid. He obtained his MA degree in 2012 with a master thesis on the financial crisis of 1931. He is currently a doctoral candidate with the research project "Switzerland in the First World War" funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. His PhD thesis is on Swiss foreign economic politics during World War I with special reference to US- Swiss relations.
