 The third conference in the series on Soccer and Globalization will pick up on themes first explored in our first two conferences, [“Soccer as a Global Phenomenon” ](https://globalsoccerconference.wcfia.harvard.edu/summary2016)(2016) and [“Reinforcing, Crossing, and Transcending Borders: Soccer in a Globalized World”](https://globalsoccerconference.wcfia.harvard.edu/summary2017) (2017). This conference will focus on participation and inclusion in global sports and global history. Using a more comparative perspective, we look to better understand how and why certain types of people are allowed to participate and others are not in a cross-section of sports and what is being done to address these inequalities. Scholars, NGO leaders, and club and organizing body officials have been invited to create a better dialogue between different stakeholders.
